Synopsis

Both Sides Now follows a group of lifelong friends nearing 40 who return to the Jewish summer camp where they came of age to celebrate Eddie (Epstein), just one week away from getting married. But when his best friend Lloyd (Bergen) invites Eddie’s first love and former camp sweetheart Erin (Cohan) to the bachelor weekend, the reunion becomes a reckoning with old relationships, unresolved love, and the question of what might have been.

The writers

Hailey Lustig and Robbie Roth were born in the same Toronto maternity ward, on either side of midnight.

They grew up together at summer camp and have been best friends for decades. That friendship, and the summers they shared, shaped the characters, the relationships and the world of the film. Roth, a composer, also wrote its songs.

Three Birds Landing Productions is an independent production company based in New York City. Founded by writer and producer Hailey Lustig, it focuses on creating character-driven stories across film, television, and theatre.

Hailey Lustig

Hailey Lustig founded Three Birds Landing Productions to create smart, emotionally resonant films about love, connection, humor, and the complicated business of being human.

Lustig began her career in commercial theatre, as Director of Programming for Pace Theatrical Group and then SFX Entertainment, and went on to become Vice President of Development at Clear Channel Entertainment during a period of rapid growth in Broadway touring. Lustig was also the founding publisher of Show People, a national magazine about the people and productions of live theatre, which reached more than 200,000 subscribers.

Lustig lives in New York City with her husband and three children.
